Turkey Day!

Well Thanksgiving was great! Emma was the last person to leave the dinner table and she ate a whole plate full of food! :) She loves her food. We spent the day with my parents and we had the whole family there celebrating and being thankful to God, our country and our family. We were however, missing a few family members at the party. Pete had to work. :( Janice....which is Brett's love..was in Canada and could not make it to dinner. We really missed both of them. Other than that we had a nice relaxing day with lots of food! Enjoy the pictures!

So much going on!

So the Gammill's were very busy in October and so far November is jammed packed! Halloween was a fun night for the girls. We had just moved into our new house...so it was a little crazy but we made it through. Grandma and Grandpa came over to help take the girls trick or treating because Pete was at work and their were still boxes everywhere. Olivia was "SuperGirl" and Emma was a cute bumble bee. We had a good time. Emma would walk up to the door with Olivia and just stick out her bag. Didn't say a word. She is so stinken demanding. :) I am not sure who she gets that from??

Buzzy Buzzy Bumble Bee!

We are almost moved into our new home in Anthem. Pete and I worked out at the gym the other day...it was wonderful. We really enjoyed ourselves. The girls love their rooms and I love my closet! It is huge! Pete loves his new commute. Not bad....just under 10 minutes for the both of us. They will be putting in our backyard this week. I will post more pictures of the house later...it is still a little messy. We are greatful to God and to my parents who have made our new life possible.
Our new house!
Now for the best news of all. I was baptized! On November 9th I was baptized to re-commit my life to Christ and to also reastablish my relationship with God. I got up that morning and it looked a little cloudy outside. I really didnt think anything of it. We went to church and it was really windy. By the time we got home from church it was flat out cold and windy! As I pulled up to the YMCA for our pre-meeting baptism it was raining and storming with some added hail. Since the pool was outside, the YMCA employees were telling us that we would probably have to re-schedule. I kept thinking...NO! NO! I have been waiting so long for this...I wasn to be baptized today. Then all of a sudden the rain stopped and we were aloud to proceed! Praise GOD! It was very, very cold...but the water inside the pool was like bath water. It was awesome. What a wonderful day and it was amazing how much better I felt when it was over. I just felt all that anxiety that had been built up over the pas few weeks had dissapeared. There were approx 15 of us that got baptized. We all went out to Barro's Pizza afterwards and celebrated. What a great day. I feel so loved!

I Will Support Obama

WOW! Ok so the president that I wanted did not win. Now what? Nothing! I will stand by Obama because he is the leader of the country I love. I will set aside my feelings and let him handle the war, the stock market, the housing crisis and healthcare. I pray that his liberal agenda calms down and that he seeks God in is daily policy making. A majority of my friends declare themselves as Republicans and today I ask you to be an American! A true patriotic and faithful person will support their leader. 1 Peter 2:13–17 (NIV)13 Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority, 14 or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. 15 For it is God’s will that by doing.

God Bless America!

Why I am Not Voting for OBAMA! In my words!

No on Obama!

As I drive each morning to school trying to prepare my mind to educate our youth, I am constantly bombarded with thoughts about why others are even considering voting for Obama. The mind quenching thoughts boil down to people just being uneducated about the current issues and how these perspectives relate to world historical events. I also get the question, How can you NOT vote for OBAMA…he is so wonderful!” Well here you go!

Every single time I ask someone why they are voting for Obama they can never come up with accurate facts or strong whole-heartedly opinions. They just quote some newspaper that helps them push what agenda they are trying to tell me. I am sick of it. For once, can you please just tell me in your own words why you are voting for Obama?

Barack Obama is a failure. He keeps promising the Americans “real change” but he does not tell you exactly how he is going to create that “change.” Anything he shouts out doesn’t make any since, like his tax plan. I knew that was crap right when it came out of his mouth. He wants to raise taxes on small business that make over $250,000 a year in profit. He states that there is an insignificant number of small businesses in this country that make over that amount. I thought…that cannot be right! So I checked it out. The United States Small Business Administration has an article about this. There are 17 categories of Small Businesses and not one of them would qualify for Obama’s tax plan. Where exactly is that benefit? I could go on but I won’t. I would like to actually see people look this up. Ok so now he has picked a running mate. Joe Biden! WOW. I was shocked! Joe Biden loves to talk and has a bad habit of running his mouth. Why do you think he has been very quiet lately? For those of you who don’t look up facts…Joe Biden ran for president this year and was not taken seriously at all by his own party. He even said that Barack Obama was not ready to be President. He said that about 7 months ago. What has changed since then? Obama loves BIG Government! I am still wondering what the 600 billion dollar government sponsored programs that was spent in 2006 has done to our poverty levels??? He wants more. Why? They have proved nothing! These BIG government programs are always corrupt and always cost the tax payer more and more of their hard earned money. Something that stuck to me in a blog once and someone said this… “This is NOTHING BUT ANOTHER FORM OF SLAVERY. If you look at every successful Black person in this country, whether they be a politician, a CEO of a successful company, a doctor, lawyer, or professor, ALL of them realized that in order to succeed you had to remove yourself from these government programs and become independent.” In order for him to waste more money on these programs he is going to have to raise our taxes. There is no other way around it. So that means I have to walk home with less money in my pocket because some people who take advantage of these programs are too lazy to become independent. Oh this makes me mad.
I am also sick and tired of liberal websites, blogs and college professors telling John McCain supporters that they are racists, intolerant, uneducated and full of hate because they are not voting for Obama.
I am utterly exhausted hearing people say that Obama potentially could be the first “black” president. So what! Don’t get me wrong, this is a great historical feat, but come on! The person who will take over in office should have at least some experience other than him just being the first “black” president. “Obama is very charismatic!” Again…So what! I need someone who can make decisions not give me speeches that try to make me feel better about my federal tax deductions. Where is the real decision making here? According to The Washington Post, Barack Obama has missed 294 votes in Senate. That is 45.8 percent of all the votes while he has been in Senate. While in the Illinois State Senate, he voted “present” nearly 130 times. Looks like Obama has moved away from decision making in these cases. I believe Obama has only been in the Senate for 143 days before he began his presidential campaign. American voters should have high standards for the most powerful person in the free world. Shouldn’t they?
Obama says he wants “change”…well, don’t we all! As I browse his voting record in the Senate he has proven to me that the change he supports is a completely different ideology than our founders created. Our founders wanted a country built on a strong sense of faith and freedom. Some of his voting records that I find to be the most liberal are listed below as well as some of his interesting quotes.
Voted against banning partial birth abortion. (Oct 2007)
Support the DREAM Act for the children of illegal immigrants. (Jan 2008)
Voted NO on declaring English as the official language of the US government. (Jun 2007)
FactCheck: Yes, refused to wear a flag pin, last year. (Apr 2008)
FactCheck: Ranked most liberal in Senate, based on 99 votes. (Feb 2008)
FactCheck: Opposes surge--hasn't produced political solution. (Sep 2008)

Ok so let’s look at the consequences of having Obama as president. We have a pretty good set of Supreme Court Justices right now so I among many others predict that a few will quit…so that means Obama will pick two liberal judges to appoint to the Supreme Court. This doesn’t cover the federal, circuit, and district court judges. Remember these people cannot get thrown out of office! You would be looking a long line of liberal judges that rule your community. Ouch! Another issue is what the Senate calls the “Fairness Doctrine.” They will move this bill forward to make sure all radio is run by the government to shut down freedom of speech.
After all of this...people are voting for him blindly, or based on race alone. They are voting for him and do not have the slightest clue as to what Obama plans to do.
If people paid as much attention to politics as they do to American Idol, we wouldn’t even be having this discussion. Use your brains, and tell me for YOURSELVES why you believe in what you do, not some publication. Obama might still win this election, but I still say he is the wrong choice for America!

Choo Choo!

Pete and I just took Olivia to the Grand Canyon this week. We had so much fun. We took the Grand Canyon Railway up to the canyon and Olivia had so much fun singing and dancing on the train...she even had fun with the train robbers. She didn't get scared and started searching for money in my purse to give to them. We had a really good time with her. When we got to the canyon she wanted to look at the canyon and feed the squirrels. She never really wanted to go look at the museum stuff...she was all about the CANYON! So Pete and I decided she was ready to take the plunge. We walked down Bright Angel Trail with her and she fell in love with the beauty of the canyon walls. She was being very careful not to get to close to the edge and looking for animals and the occasional gecko. She kept telling us, "Thank you Mommy and Daddy for taking me on this trip!" At the end of the day she said "Can we do this tomorrow?" I knew she had fun and so did we. Our favorite part was watching her fall in love with the canyon just as much as we did. If you are wondering where Emma was...we decided she needed some quality time with Grandma and Grandpa Snyder. She is at the age where she is into EVERYTHING and Mommy would be a nervous wreck if was that close to the edge.

Up To Date

So the last time I started blogging was a year ago. There are just a few reasons why I started blogging. First, I am getting tired of Myspace and second I want to keep in touch with more family. This will be fun!
Pete is now working for the U.S Marshalls now. He is a Corrections Officer for the Prison in Florence, Arizona. He really enjoys his job there and he is always busy. Very different from his college degrees! Yes I said degrees! Pete just finished his MBA at the University of Phoenix in June and he is really thrilled to be done with school. He is hoping to work closer with the inmates to get them into different programs with in the prison system. We are praying that he will get this job because his schedule right now has been a little tough on the family.
For me, I am teaching at Florence K-8 school as a 6th grade teacher. I am also sponsoring the National Junior Honor Society and we hope to be going to Washington DC as a field trip this summer! I really love teaching and I know this is what God had planned for me. I also teach at church when I can but just enjoy being around the kids and that is what it is all about for me. I am very involved with our church. Pete and I started going to San Tan Christian Center last October and fell in love with the people and the mission.
Olivia is staying busy. She has church on Wednesday nights and loves to spend time with her "nanny" Susie. She is also getting ready to play sports. She has not yet decided on Soccer or T-Ball but she has to make that decision soon. She is 4 going on 10 and is very inquisitive.
Emma is EVERYWHERE! Some days I cannot keep up with her. She is really starting to talk and loves to play with her sister. She also loves going to church and loves playing with Elmo.
Pete and I went to Jamaica in June and had a fabulous time. We really enjoyed that country and just having some time together. We love living in Queen Creek and we are feeling as though this really has become our home.

Our favorite thing to do...scuba dive in Jamaica!

Hello!
